5th Day | Évora, a Journey through Time and Space

Enjoy your day in the Alentejo region, where you will have the opportunity to visit and stroll through the city of Évora, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage since 1986, and its surroundings.

In Évora there are several historical landmarks that you can visit: Cathedral, Roman Temple, Bone Chapel. In the middle of the Alentejo, near the border, we find the small town of Reguengos de Monsaraz.

At the end of the day, in the comfort of your hotel, you’ll have a stargazing session. Alqueva is considered the best place in Europe for this type of observation.

6th Day | Dam to Castle: Alentejo Adventure

You’ll start the day with a 1-hour boat ride on the Alqueva Dam, that allow to maintain a balance between human needs and ecological sustainability in this region. Vila Viçosa,a hidden jewel full of history and cultural interest, will be your next stop. The “Princess of Alentejo,” is a small and charming region known for its cultural significance.

There is still time to visit Marvão, which is considered one of the most spectacular walled villages in the country. Last but not the least, set up on the very top of the Serra de São Mamede mountains, it offers splendid views of the region.
