Avenida da Liberdade is one of the main avenues of the city. It has wide sidewalks covered in Portuguese pavement and is lined with stores of luxurious brands. Walking down the main avenue of the city, illuminated and overflowing with the Christmas spirit, will be a unique experience.
The main area of interest is Praça do Comércio, one of the largest squares in Europe and, for many centuries, the main entrance of the city of Lisbon. This year, with an amazing Christmas tree, with 30 meters high and 86 thousand LED bulbs, the square is one of the most popular stops.
We will walk around the city passing by its main squares and monuments lit up with colors and decorative elements alluding to Christmas. Shops will be open until late, so you can do some last minute Christmas shopping!
The launching point for the Portuguese discoveries, dotted with significant historic monuments, such as the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery, in a beautiful open riverside setting.
